Creative Challenge Day 4 — Goodwill Upcycle Contest

This is the first of two projects that I created for the Goodwill Upcycle Contest.

I love the idea of the French boudoir and hope to one day recreate my entire bedroom in a romantic French style. Until then, this 3-tiered tray is the perfect way to display all my “jewels” and was a project that was just too easy to pass up. Not to mention it was super cheap to boot! Bonus!

2 ivory colored platters $.1.99 + $.99 = $2.98 (goodwill)
1 ivory colored dessert plate $.99 (goodwill)
2 cut lead crystal glasses $1.99 + $.99 = $2.98 (goodwill)
industrial strength glue (already owned)
package assorted rhinestones (already owned) (can be purchased at Michael’s or Wal-Mart for $.99 to $2.99 for bag of 30+)

The Inspiration!!!

The process.

The be-sparkle!!!

I’ll post about my second entry in the contest tomorrow. Goodwill will be uploading photos of contest entries on Facebook for voting this week. I will post a link as soon as it is available.
