3 Travel Bloggers with an Eye for the Amazing!

Aliwan Fiesta 2012 by Robi Jiz

When I am not traveling, I am dreaming of traveling which means that I am on the constant search for visual inspiration.

I thought I’d share 3 fellow bloggers that always deliver the visual goods. The photography of Sherry Ott, Alison Cornford-Matheson, and Robi Jiz makes me wanna grab my luggage and run screaming towards the nearest TSA security check.

Sherry Ott of Ottsworld:

Mongolian Gers by Sherry Ott

Sherry describes herself as:

… a corporate cube dweller turned nomadic traveler. … travel[ing] to off-the-beaten-path destinations to bring you travel experiences and photography from parts of the world seldom seen. But it’s not just about travel. It’s also about life experiences of a middle age wanderer.

A full-time travel photographer/blogger since 2006, Sherry is the person first ever to win the guest blogger contest at Go with Oh, a great vacation rental site. She is also the co-founder of Meet, Plan, Go, a web service dedicated to helping you get your career-break-travel plans out of your dreams and into real action.

Alison Cornford-Matheson of Cheese Web

The Netherlands by ACM photography

… [Alison] is a garden and travel lifestyle photographer, freelance travel writer and copy-editor, based in Brussels, Belgium.

… [ Her website CheeseWeb is ] a travel resource for expats in Belgium and abroad. We discover the little known attractions in Belgium and across Europe. We aim to make relocating more fun and exciting, and a little bit easier too.

Alison and her husband became Canadian expats when they moved to Belgium in 2005 and she’s been writing about her European travels and snapping some incredible shots ever since.

Along with working on her own blog, she is also the expat living editor at Wandering Educators and a correspondent at Jetsetter.

Robi Jiz of Ka-byahe:

Sinulog by Robi Jiz

I have only been following Robi Jiz for a short time and his photos are in a word; breath-taking. He focuses mainly on documenting cultural festivals in his home, the Philippines.

It’s hard to believe that Robi is so young and still only a student studying art and music at the University of San Carlos in Cebu City. According to his blog he is just 18. I think that makes him a photo-blogger to keep an eye on and with over eight-thousand followers, I am definitely not alone in that sentiment!
